How to post a student announcement

 

Did you know that you can submit student announcements within the Campus Chronicle interface?*

Every Monday at 9 a.m. (even on holidays) students receive an email highlighting announcements, news and events  (similar to the daily email sent to faculty and staff). So, make sure to get your announcements posted by noon on Friday to be included in the weekly email!

Student announcements also are available on the Students Web page and on the MyHudsonValley/Blackboard homepage and students are encouraged to check that daily to see the most recent posts.

How to Submit

  1. Click on the “Submit Article/Student Announcements” tab in the Campus Chronicle.
  2. Post your title and message
  3. Check the “Student Announcement” box in the Categories section
    Keep in mind that you can select both a “Campus Announcement” category and a “Student Announcement” category to streamline your communication if the message is pertinent to both groups. You may also submit separate announcements if you’d like to deliver separate messages.

*NOTE: Only announcements related to college business and activities will be posted. Please do not post classified-type announcements or other general interest, unless they are supported by a college club, organization or office. Be sure to include contact information as students do not see the individual’s name who posted the message.
